Grateful
Are we Grateful for what we have?
I am gratetful for the life that I had growing from childhood into becoming an adult.
The hardships that I had to endure to become the person I am today
I believe that in life you have to go through some of the most difficult times in our lives in order to be the person you are today. If life was easy with no challenge what kind of life would we have.
I know that some people want to stay on the pitypot and not improve their live and that is their choice.
We can all make a difference in our lives if we want
I speak from experience my life was not an easy journey.
People used to call me names made fun of as a child saying I was retarded and would never amount to anything and that was my dad and teachers.
For years I believed them and it was easy to get into trouble and do the the opposite from what people in the power would tell me to do.
Years of running away from myself and blaming everyone for what I would do wrong. my dad, the people that lived in the town I grew up in and of course the town itself.
wanting to get revenge on everyone.
When in reality I had allowed it to happen.
I was always trying to be a people pleaser working with the handicap people look at what I am doing helping others for their approval and never really getting it
I have always been a psychic ever since I can remember that is why everyone loved me.I would do readings anywhere, at work, at home, just for the attention I would get. I finally had to learn the hard that you don't need to seek anyones approval and can't until you have your own.I lost everything from believing I had a happy life. I was married with a wonderful son.and a great job.The happier I seemed the more I drank. I got divorced, stopped partying and moved to a new location, still drinking. Then one day I had a rude awakening to almost no place to live no money coming in I had hit the bottom of my life feeling sorry for myself poor me To having people telling me I would no longer be in their lives if I kept drinking. That is when I started to slowly change. Having a wonderful lady tell me were it was at as she was dying of the hiv virus and telling me to get off the pitypot and her boyfriend coming to take me to do manual work for a local temp co. eating at the homeless shelter for that Iam grateful for that was a tough ordeal and learning that I'm no better that anyone else. For that Iam grateful. Today I have let go of the resentments, angry and most of all still trying to let go of my big ego Life is not easy but it is better as I have the support of my friends and family and for that Iam truly GRATEFUL
Think about what you have to be grateful for. Remember to be thankful as well for what you have, not for what you don't have.
